Since its founding in 1983 Landia has been on a singular track. That track, simply stated , has been to deliver an exciting new style of "pop" music! The seeds of this original music have been crafted over sixteen years into an intense array of unique grooves and messages! The current line up includes: David Landia As the founder of the group, David has been cultivating the members and
the music to deliver the freshest pop to come along in years. His self-taught
style on the acoustic guitar is at the core of what makes the "landia
sound" so exciting! His voice conveys a warm, honest vibe that pulls
you into the music to intimately involve the listener with the message. Wesley King Considered to be one of the most versatile and original electric guitarists
to surface in years, Wesley excites and mystifies you with his magical
solos. His grooves and leads are as unique as the songs themselves. His
smooth voice rounds out many of the complex harmonies that the band delivers.
Dennis King No band can groove without a powerful drummer! Dennis delivers stick
splintering intensity that has earned him the nickname "Lumberjack".
The solid feel that he lays down in every song will keep your heart and
your feet beating to a dynamic, driving rhythm! His voice is the perfect
blend to David’s tone and is relied upon in almost every song. Chris Chambers The bridge built by a bass player unites percussion and melody. Chris
has a feel unlike many due to his great drumming skills. When he joined
Landia he set aside his sticks to return to the bass and has since become
the ultimate addition to round out the quartet! Every line he plays sets
up the right vibe for the rhythm section to ride with. His powerful, deep
vocal attack adds the punch to the group’s harmonies!! John "JT" Thomas Recording music is a very challenging process. John, better known as "JT", delivers the Landia sound to you through his heart and soul. Listen to the CD and you will agree that he is the wizard behind the magic!
